Questions are so important and powerful, and so underrated — especially in this society. Throughout our upbringing and our education, we're constantly told what to do and who to be. Rarely are we asked questions, or reminded that this life is our own to live, and that we get to choose how we want to live it.
Finding your own answers is what makes you feel connected and engaged with your own life. That's why I created this assessment: to lay the foundation for creating the life you would love to live. I've put together the questions I believe are some of the most important ones to have answered for ourselves, if we're going to live — and therefore create — intentionally.
If we're not living according to our own vision, we're living according to someone else's. It's the difference between living intentionally and just drifting, carried along by circumstance and other people.
"Until we make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life, and you will call it fate." — Carl Jung. We are a far greater factor in our own lives than we realize, and we're constantly being deceived by our own mind. Reflection and self-honesty are what create clarity. Only once we become aware of how we've been creating our lives all along — even the circumstances we say we don't want — are we actually in a position to change them. If you want to know what you want, take a look at what you have.
The more accurate and honest you can be with your answers, the more valuable your results will be. That said, honesty doesn't mean full disclosure. If any question touches something too personal to put into words here, writing too personal or prefer not to say is a completely valid answer.
If you really take the time and make the effort to go through this assessment, I believe it will be life-changing — the beginning of a new chapter.
